Here’s a video I was involved with by The Swamp Coolers and arranged by Terry Keel and produced and recorded by the legendary Grammy award winner, Jack Miller (RIP) at Canyon Records. Played by Terry Keel on guitar, Cyd Manning on drums, Mike Kunes on bass and vocals, Mark Schuflekowski on acoustic guitar, Steve Chernek on guitar, myself on ukelele and the Swamp Angels (Jana Minov, Gordana Sojonovic, Mira Mihajlovich, Nonishka and Sarah King) on background vocals.

Fleetwood Mac’s Oh Well at Desert Village Park in Ahwatukee, AZ. The sideways effect wasn’t on purpose, I’m pretty sure.

Music Videos

Here are a couple of videos I had made for the first two songs Wes and I collaborated on. Wes played all the instruments on these tunes.

Glide Through The Night is my first original music video. The music was recorded by Nashville’sWes Lunsford. I then hired a video creator from Sri Lanka who really captured the tune.

The song is about a couple who need to get away from the crowded scene and just take off to parts unknown.

“I Think I’m in the Band” is a bit of fun and is semi-autobiographical. While in high school, a friend asked me to fill in for him on guitar at an Arizona State University fraternity desert kegger. Reluctantly, I acquiesced. I wasn’t sure if I could fit in the group, I think they were called Newmown Hay.

Things were going fine and, at some time in the evening, the frat boys invited the band to join in on the fun. Unaccustomed as I was to this level of partying, I recall realizing I needed to clear my head and find my way home. Although the memories of that night are still foggy, I wanted to capture this experience in a song. It was also influenced by Randy Newman’s “Mama Told Me Not To Come”, one of Three Dog Night’s big hits.

Like the previous song, “Glide Through the Night”, I recorded a demo playing all the instruments and sent it to Nashville to Wes Lunsford for a more polished version. I used a highly acclaimed freelance video chap in Turkey to produce the video.
